**INTRODUCTION**
It's a good feeling to be part of this season and I am glad that i would taking part in this fixed task three for season 4 and however I would be giving attention to the questions presented in the homework task. so with that in mind and according to the instructions, here are the questions for number three:
* **WHAT IS A CRYPTOCURRENCY**
* **WHAT IS CRYPTOGRAPHY AND HOW DOES IT MAKE CRYPTOCURRENCIES SECURE**
* **EXPLORE THE STEEM GENESIS BLOCK AND SIGN IN AS PROOF OF COMPLETION**

These is a form of exchange which can be referred to as a digital money or currency which are used for payment or business transaction online. it has been programmed in a format that it exchange cannot be seen physical but virtually and can be controlled by the coin-owned individual without the authority of a one-man party.
This cryptocurrency is also programmed in a way that it coins or tokens can be stored up in a personalized wallet of which are not physically seen but can be controlled with the use of keys like the private, master and public keys of which are meant to be personal for easy transaction process information encryptions within his or her wallet arena.
Since the invasion of cryptocurrency in our space, there have been more than 5,000 different coins or token made available. Hence, there is one that has proofed to be noteworthy and has been in it forefront since it creation which is **Bitcoin**. Now, let's consider more on the history behind the creation.
**HISTORY BEHIND BITCOIN**
In the year 2009, an anonymous individual by name Satoshi Nakamoto used it idea to developed the first decentralized trading platform of which can be accessed and operated within connected users. These blockchain which is known as Bitcoin had it first block (Block 0) immediately after creation, this block serve as a parent to other blocks that were created that is why it is not linked or connected to any other block within the chain.
After creation, an amount of 50 BTC was been transferred to the block which has not been tampered since it was received but rather has received rewards sent by individuals who appreciated the work done by the anonymous.

Literally, Crypto means **'secret'** while Graph means **'write'**. Therefore, this can be seen as the medium by which data or information are been sent and processed by it beneficiary or receiver without the interference of any intermediary in other words, it create an anonymous atmosphere where transactions are encrypted and secured and prevent a one man order.
Infact, cryptography aids in transactions verifications process that do take place within each nodes or users and provides a signature-like format for each transactions.
**HOW DOES IT MAKE CRYPTOCURRENCIES SECURE**
Cryptography has it main goal of encryption, it ensures that information's can pass through from one nodes to other hidden from the public and has been made possible with the keys of encryption and can only be used by the authorized receiver to read, process, decrypt and encrypt information's in it native format. With such pattern cryptocurrencies are secured and are far-off from been stolen because without a key one cannot open a door when locked.

According to the instruction, I will be visiting [steemworld.org](https://steemworld.org/) to explore and here are the steps that i followed through:
**1:** Firstly, I clicked on the sign-in tab and filled in my username and my posting key and clicked **OK** to proceed

**CONCLUSION**
Just as the world has a beginning same applies to blockchain. From this lesson, I have been able to learn fully on what cryptography is along with it content and how secured our coins and tokens are kept and the process it passes through for our benefit. Thank you professor @awesononso on the time you spent with the thoughtful lectures you presented.
