My Day Trip to Brighton - England's Seaside Resort Town

<p>Staying in London for the month, there were two areas that I wanted to venture out of the city. One of them was to see a surfer friend living in the Sheffield area (middle area of England).&nbsp;</p>
<h1>The other was to check out the south coastal town of Brighton.</h1>
<p>Living and being from Hawaii, beaches there are already world-class and well-known. I honestly didn't have much expectations going into seeing Brighton.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>But quite honestly, I was really surprised by how quirky Brighton really is.</strong></p>
<h1>Getting to Brighton is quite easy with public transportation.&nbsp;</h1>
<p>There are many train times that go down to Brighton from London, particularly from London Victoria station. As well, you can also take the Gatwick Express from either London Victoria or Gatwick Airport and go directly to Brighton. The journey is around 1 hour from London and about 30 minutes from Gatwick airport.</p>
<h1>Brighton Town and Beach</h1>
<p>Once you reach Brighton, the town is small enough that you can simply walk around anywhere.</p>
<p>Something to note, from a distance, it looks like there is sand at the beach. But, it's actually filled with stone/pebbles. At least the pebbles are round so it's somewhat soft to the feet, but if you have "city feet" ... then make sure you bring a towel and slippers to wear.</p>
<p>As well, even in the summer months, the water is FREEZING! Definitely not Hawaii water ... but what I've found is just quickly jump in and you get over the freezing feel.</p>

<h2>Now something quirky that I didn't expect when I was in Brighton was seeing this palace/building below, it almost made me feel like I was in southern Spain or even in Morocco:</h2>

<h1>Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Brighton, and would actually consider returning to this place to enjoy more of the surroundings.</h1>
