Run for your life (freewrite story)
"Run for your life!" Grandma yelled. She was holding a rattan stick trying to scare us - her grandchildren - away using with her frowning forehead and eyebrows while swaying the stick.

We were at her chicken farm and were scaring off her chickens with all sort of monster sounds. It was fun to hear the chicken "pok pok pok poo" trying to run away for their life, thinking that we would catch them for slaughter. Haha!

It was weekends and we usually roamed around the village as a gang of grandchildren. I was always the leader since I was the eldest.

Something caught my eyes which it never happened before. A huge beehive. Right at the tree. How could I miss it? I knew every corners of my place. A surge of curiosity built up in me and I felt like poking the beehive. I knew it was dangerous - warned by grandma before - but I didn't care because it was not right hanging around at my village without me knowing.

I took a broken branch nearby the tree and gave it a big jolt. <em>Thud!</em> Aha! I was right, nothing happened.

Just when I thought we were safe, the first bee made its appearance. And to my shock, it was bigger than usual. I opened my eyes even wider as more and more bees came out of their hive. Big. Bulky. Fat bees. I threw away the branch and screamed from the top of my lungs.

"Run for your life, boys!"

All of us ran as fast as we could, and the younger boys were following my lead. I ran while thinking where to go to be safe from the bees' trail. I remembered the factory. The door was left opened so I headed there. <em>Run run run run run as a flash.</em>

We almost reached the factory giant's door. Since I was ahead of most of them, I opened the door and waved in speedy manner, urging them to be faster. As soon as all were in the factory, I pushed the door with my might and closed it.

Ahhhh... We were safe now.

Then we saw something unbelievable that caused all of us to freeze. There was a giant rooster there, taller than our dad.
