Just Some Ranting In A Shitty Post

I don't want to write for life.

I don't mean I want to stop writing. I believe writing has become part of my existence; it's one of the things that defines who I am.

What I'm talking about is the need to make posts everyday on steemit. It's like a daily job I have to do or I don't get paid.

At this point, you're probably wondering what the fuss is all about. After all, I'm a writer. Writing should be easy for me.

Well, writing can be easy for me sometimes but that's not the point. The point is that I have to write regardless of whether I feel like or not; regardless of whether I have something to write about or not.

It's all because I've come to depend on steemit for my livelihood. I pay my bills based on the money I receive from steemit. And there are only two ways through which I can make money on steemit: write posts and win contests

Today, I don't feel like writing anything. Hell, I've been feeling that way for a long time coming. Each day I push myself to create something. Each day I have to settle for whatever comes my way.

It's not always that bad though. I got a curie upvote a few days ago on one of my random stories inspired by a picture I stumbled on on steemit.

Plus, I know that if I apply myself, I would win a few contests. I know all of that. Still, I want to be able to meet my needs without writing everyday

Now this is all a rant as I'm already writing a post already. I'm going to make posts tomorrow too. And the day after. And on and on and on... Maybe I'll rant about this tomorrow

Anyway that's end. It's better to rant than make shitty posts. This is a shitty post too but I think it smells nice.

This is really a realization that a lot of people need to come to also, I know it can be difficult and is difficult, like having a job but the boss can pay only if they wish to.... Many places and not just by you I am thinking of the plight in Venezuela it is maybe the only recourse, the only one that works, it might be luck that gets them hooked big votes with initial interaction etc but I do feel whether they need steem to survive that there was a before steem and they survived. 

I am maybe not in that boat for financial reasons but I do spend more time on here than I should if you look at the financials. Not nearly the effort you do and also not nearly for such a noble reason as you do. I do think that maybe it closes us off to other opportunities whether online but also in our day to day lives actionable things that can definitely feel more tangible than scraping by on hope, they are also not mutually exclusive.  

I can relate with what you are saying although my perspective is from a different vantage point.
