Australia has made their first man-made wave pool for surfers near Yeppoon on Queensland’s Capricorn Coast. Their design is radically different to existing wave pools. The lake produces five levels of waves which vary in difficulty and size. The pool can fit up to 240 surfers where riders can surf 2,400 waves per hour!
        Surfers will be able to ride five different levels of waves simultaneously around the lake. These waves all vary in difficulty, size, and length, so beginner surfers through to moderate and advanced surfers can enjoy wave riding. Surf Lake’s _**5 wave**_ technology creates the most breaks in a man-made pool with ten separate waves in total – four on the left hand side, four on the right and two beginner waves.
        Surfing is a wonderful and incredibly therapeutic sport, for body _**and**_ mind. It is a thorough all over body workout while also extremely mediative. You cannot begin to remember your daily problems when you are racing along a 6 foot wall of water! Man made waves such as these make possible surfing for a far greater number of people, and bringing surf even to towns and cities! Much needed by the youth and working population.
