Actifit is an innovative smartphone application that uses a very strong I have to admit incentive to make us perform physical activity. 

And this incentive is money. Yes, you read correctly this app gives you money for steps. That simple.

How does this work? I’ll explain you in a second. 

Actifit is a Fitness Tracker for Android smartphones ( iOS app to be released ). You can download it from Google Play Store [here]( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.actifit.fitnesstracker.actifitfitnesstracker)
You run the app. 
You perform physical activity, which means steps and the app will record them.
Then you post them on Steem Blockchain and you get rewarded with Actifit Tokens and upvotes from @actifit account and of course your followers on Steemit. 

So, this is it. 

You use the app, post your results on Steemit and you get upvotes, which means that in the end you get real money. 

Plus, you get some kind of cryptocurrency, which is an added bonus.

The app for time being is pretty basic. In the home screen you can see your steps. You open the app, move a little bit to make sure that it has started counting steps and then put the smartphone in your pocket. I have noticed that if you hold your phone above chest level it will not track steps that accurately.

Developers of the app have made it more sensitive than other tracking apps, so it will usually count more steps.

And a leaderboard. @actifit posts daily with more details about activity and development of the app. When you are finished you just post it on Steemit.

In my opinion it is one of the most useful Steemit projects and can genuinely contribute for something very positive. To incentivize humans to be more active and thus to be healthier. 

There is also a growing community around this project and it has the potential to become something very big. 

And I love the app, because I do nothing more than I normally do and get paid for it. I will not post here my daily payouts, because everybody’s result could be different, but on minimum you get a nice upvote from @actifit account, once per day. 

Obviously, you will not get rich, but it is a paradigm shift. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies/tokens will change our economy and our lives, by providing us with more opportunities and abundance. 

Actifit and Steemit itself are initial and experimental applications, with more flaws or drawbacks than we can count, but they are showing us the future. A future that it is already here and we can use it for our benefit. And I am sure that there will people that will abuse the system and have their dog move around so that they collect the rewards. 

But I am also sure, that the people that will use it for the good are more and out weight the abusers. And in the end projects like this one will serve the higher purpose that they were designed for. 

Because even though human nature isn’t perfect, I believe it is fundamentally good and it is improving and it is in our hand to improve it even more.
