<html> <p> Faith Chapelle shared a video to her YouTube channel revealing how she used toothpaste to completely transform her dirty trainers</p> <p> When it comes to spring and summer, a spanking new pair of white trainers are exactly what you need to tie any outfit together.</p> <p>But annoyingly, no matter how hard you try, it doesn't take long for them to get dirty.</p> <p>Even though there are a number of stain removers and whitening products on the market, they don't always fully remove the dirt.</p> <p>But before you decide to throw your trainers away, a woman has revealed the product which made her trainers look as good as new - but she has warned that it might not work with every material, so proceed with caution.</p> <p><img src="https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article22120401.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/0_Trainers.jpg"/></p> <p> <br/> In a transformation clip she said: "I'm going to show you how to go from this disgustingness to this..." - as she shows off the new and improved bright white trainers before revealing the star of the show - toothpaste.</p> <p>Once Faith added toothpaste to her usual cleaning product she said: "the final results turned out really good" and they looked "a thousand times better than before" - result.</p> <p><img src="https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article22120398.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/0_Trainers.jpg"/></p> <p> <br/> In the video Faith begins by soaking the shoes in warm water which has a small amount of laundry detergent mixed in.</p> <p>She then coats the entire shoe in toothpaste - she's using the Colgate Total Whitening toothpaste - before using an unused toothbrush to thoroughly scrub the surface.</p> <p><img src="https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article22120402.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/0_Trainers.jpg"/></p> <p> <br/> A life-hack <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/instagram">Instagram</a> account, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CASH7pPjl34/?utm_source=ig_embed">Simple Hacks,</a> recommends a white, non-gel toothpaste for the job since a coloured toothpaste may stain them rather than clean them.</p> <p>And why toothpaste you ask? Apparently the baking soda in the toothpaste acts as an abrasive and helps to remove stains just like it does with our teeth.</p> <p> Faith then sprays the show with Oxi-Clean Spray and coats in Oxi-Action powder and leave them to soak in a bucket of bleach for six hours.</p> <p>And although it's not necessary Faith recommends popping the shoes into the washing machine to rid them of bleach and leave them to air dry for 24 hours.</p> <p> Since Faith posted the video to her <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeqCA3wVcxWBhoOVu3nO0YA">Youtube</a> channel, it has received 475,000 views, with a number of people praising the tip in the comment section . </p> </html>
