The Taj Mahal itself don't need any description. The world known leader ShahJahan made this for the love of his wife Mumtaj after his death. The location of this is such that it is straight way visible from red fort of Agra where ShahJahan used to live.
The white marble that was used to build this is still unbelievable and the carvings are uncomparable. These were hand carved and nowadays its about impossible to do such task.

<B>The Labour of Decades </B>
It took 22 years to complete and 22,000 people were involved in developing this and more than 1000 elephants were used to transport the stone. the money spend was also in millions for that time.

<B>Gems in the monument</B>
About 22 different stones were used, embedded in the white marble that were brought from different parts of asia. The different stones and marbles were brought from parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Tibet, SriLanka and China.

<B>Cultural Symbolism</B>
The Taj is mainly considered as Muslim architecture and contains many styles of islamic, persian and Ottoman turkish and Indian Architectures. The construction began in about 1932 and completed in about 1953.

<B>The Pillars Position</B>
All the 4 pillars were positioned such that by chance anytime if any of the pillar collapse than this will not harm the main monument. and these are at the 4 corners of the Taj that makes it look similar from all the sides.

<B>Black and white game</B>
It is said that he wanted to construct a similar Black Taj that was supposed to be his tomb but later on he was imprisoned by his own son Eurangzeb so he was unable to complete it but the base was started and that can still be seen across the river end.

<B>Her Burial at the center</B>
In the center of the tomb is the burial of MumTaj & feet under the surface which is covered by 4 sided marble boundary and air always blow in it everytime.

<B>Colour Play</B>
The white marble reflects colors of light depending upon the day. in the morning as sky is red it reflects little bit red color and also during the evening the color is reflected golden in the moonlight.

<B>Into the Night</B>
None of the historical monuments is open after sunset but during the moon nights Taj is opened from 11:30 to 00:30.
