It is always amazing how many people are not prepared to really work. It is one thing to set yourself crystal clear goals in life. The other is to want to implement them and to actually do so. In addition to upright thinking, there is also a need for an upright life, i. e. active action.

Today's man is by no means outmoded. Overwhelmed by a multitude of different technologies that allow us to communicate with each other over long distances, we forget what "deep work" really means. As an example, I'd like to mention Instagram, but it should be noted that Facebook plays exactly the same game. It may sound a little harsh to some, but on Instagram you can only see success and NOT the way to it. You can see the great cars, the parties, the 5 star hotels, the villas, the yachts. No human being ever shows a picture of himself as sad or angry as he is, how he works, let alone what stress he is under. It's a world of deception.

You don't see any failures or disappointed faces. It's a illusory world in which everything is good and perfect and no one really knows what the people are really going through. Christiano Ronaldo posts pictures of his new football boots, magnificent wristwatches and 7-course menus. Never, but never, really, he posts pictures of how hard he trains every day, what strict and boring diets he has to endure in order to get one step closer to his goals. Michael Jordan, one of the world's most famous and best basketball players, used to throw thousands of baskets every day as a child for 12 to 14 hours just to get where he is now. Mark Cuban, a well known investor and entrepreneur, among others also known from "Shark Tank" did not take a day off in the first 7 years of his company foundation and stayed awake every day until 2 a. m. and programmed. Apple's CEO, Tim Cook sends e-mails from his office every day at 4:30 a. m. and is the last person to leave his office every day. Deceived by a world of social media, many people actually believe that you will become rich overnight and achieve your goals. These examples show that it is no miracle that these people have become so successful. Behind all these people there are clear goals combined with hard work.

However, most people believe that hard work is not necessary to achieve success. It may be nice to tell about the beautiful cars you drive and what property you own. But no one is really talking about his innumerable nervous breakdowns, his fears and his long journey to these goals. Very few people see the really hard work behind it. Elon Musk himself once said in an interview:"Building a company is like chewing glass." - and he must know what he is talking about.

I would like to add a very important and inspiring video here:
