Then Flora called for Zephyr and ordered her to fly to Japan and bring a Japanese rose from there. She said: "You recognize her immediately, her branches are covered with shining emerald leaves, the flowers look like the color of a wild rose and exude a wonderful fragrance, but the plants are devoid of spikes and the one who tears it does not put yourself in danger of wringing your hands." The gods called Camelia Anakantis - devoid of thorns, people - Sasankva. God of wind Zephyr immediately went for a flower and a few hours later brought it. The branch was all covered with flowers, when Flora passed it to Graces, they came to admiration of Camellia, decorated themselves with flowers, but there is nothing to do, we need to proceed with the order - to punish Cupid. But Camelia's branch was so delicate that on the body of the Amur, after the flogging, there was not the slightest scratch. Learning of this, Venus was terribly angry and Cupid was still punished as she ordered - birch roses, only roses were without thorns. And then Venus transferred all her anger to Camellia and deprived her of the divine smell and ordered her to grow only in the East.***

За сюжетом Амур став поширювати всякі плітки про свою матір Венеру і розгнівана Богиня повеліла своїм слугам Граціям висікти свого сина різками з троянд, щоб наступного разу він думав про те, що говорить. Амур дізнавшись, що йому загрожує, став просити Богиню Флору позбавити його від такого ганебного покарання або хоча б його як-небудь зменшити. Тоді Флора покликала до себе Зефіра і наказала швидше летіти йому в Японію і принести звідти японську троянду. Вона сказала: "Ти відразу ж впiзнаєш її. Її гілки покриті блискучим як смарагд листям, квіти схожі на колір дикої троянди і виділяють чудовий аромат, але рослини позбавлені шипів і той, хто її рве, не наражається на небезпеку поколоти собі руки". Боги назвали Камелію Анакантіс - позбавлену шипів, люди - Сасанкви. Бог вітру Зефір зараз же відправився за квіткою і через кілька годин приніс її. Гілка була вся усипана квітами, коли Флора передала її Граціям, то вони прийшовши в захоплення від Камелії, прикрасили себе квітами, але робити нічого, треба приступати до виконання наказу - покарати Амура. Але гілка Камелії виявилася такою делікатною, що на тілі Амура після прочуханки не залишилося ні найменшої подряпини. Дізнавшись про це, Венера страшно розлютилася, але Амур був все таки покараний як вона і наказала - різками з троянд, тільки троянди були без шипів. І тоді Венера перенесла весь свій гнів на Камелію і позбавила її божественного запаху і наказала завжди рости їй тільки на Сході.*
