I've been hoarding these pics for the past week and finally have a quick minute to put them all together here for your viewing pleasure.

Last Tuesday, the 16th, was my wife and I's 3rd wedding anniversary.

Like most people would say that have lived it, it's the fastest day of your life. It came and went like a lightning bolt and just as electric and intense as one too. The greatest day of my life, after the birth of my two kids of course. So to celebrate the occasion, it was a family filled day with a trip to a local park first. 

Lucky for me, this one also has a disc golf course and I was able to get my first round of the year in. As you can see, there is still snow on the ground and it was pretty muddy and wet, but a fun time was had regardless.

The shot of the day just so happened to be my first throw of the day....my first throw of the year! A beauty. Sailing straight as an arrow as I had hoped, and rolled over to the left as my throws naturally do as I am right handed. It landed just a few feet behind the pin and my putt made the chains crash together with the sound of victory and accomplishment. A birdie on my first hole, I'll take it!!!

Sadly, it got pretty pathetic from there on out. There wasn't a tree in the forest I couldn't hit. I know for a fact that plastic and wood hold zero magnetic properties, but you could have fooled me the way my discs honed in on every carbon dioxide emitting entity. I could have recorded a small beat box track with all the thumps and thwacks I created in that small amount of time. But whatever. I was outside, amassed by gorgeous weather and a delicious *Vodoo Ranger, Juicy Haze IPA*. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest it if you like IPA's. Be prepared for some crazy juiciness though, the name is the name for a reason.

As much as I love hucking a disc, the wild and nature are right up there in terms of why I enjoy it so much. Take this beautiful duck for example. I was just about to take a picture of the running water when it came shooting out of the water spillway. You can see a small portion of it on the way left side of the photo.

Not only are the animals cool, but witnessing what Mother Nature can do is quite amazing. Take this massive tree for example.

Last year, it was proudly standing tall, laughing in the face of winds and storms. Sadly though, the winter had the last laugh. The top absolutely crushed this recycling can right underneath it. It also blocked the whole tee box for the hole I was supposed to play next. Crazy how powerful mother nature can be...any guesses as to if this tree made any noise when it fell? I wasn't around to hear it.

After I was tired of picking on all the trees that had done absolutely nothing to me to warrant such abuse, I walked back to the park to hang with the wife and kids. Pushed my little girl on the swing and held her hand as she went down the **big kids** slide. She loved it!

We left the park and proceeded on with the night fun. We got a babysitter for our little girl and decided to bring our little man to his first Twins game. I had won 4 dugout seats the week prior at a Rotary event my brother Zak invited me to. I threw a small football through a hole and wound up in a three way tie. After round one of no one making any, I made my last throw to seal the victory. No complaints here.

I had two extra tickets and had to decide who to bring with us. It wasn't really a hard decision. My good buddy Rick had called me out the blue the week prior asking me if I wanted to join him at the *Varsity Theater* to watch Dave Chapelle perform. Ummmm, hells yeah I do! DC is my favorite comedian, so this was a small way of paying him back. We had a great time, even though the Twins lost the game on a play at the plate. 

The left fielder threw the ball home and beat our guy running from first. You can see from the pics that Buxton (the batter, now on 3rd base) is sulking, knowing that his great attempt at tying the game had come up just short.

As they say, you win some and you lose some. I'd chalk the whole day up as a win, even though the Twins took the L.
