In fact, today is the most precious day of my life. Today is the day when the dream of building our own house comes to fruition. Over the past few months, I have worked hard to prepare everything from the house plan to the initial work.

Although it has been planned for several months, today is the auspicious time to start building a house. Over the past few days I have been talking to the Chief Mason Bass and planning first day activities.
Actually Mothering low and I got ready for today with great pleasure.There was no big rush in the morning as all the four corners of the land were lit with incense and the necessary food and drink were prepared in advance from the previous evening.

When we woke up at 3.00 in the morning, my father-in-law made Malu Abul Thiyal while preparing katta sambol for about 25 of us to eat with milk rice.

She brought oil cake, butter cake, banana, kokis from the food shop to put on the morning tea table.
As the auspicious time of 7.30 am was approaching, the father-in-law handed over the first sod to the masons to cut the ground to lay the foundation.
Then the base holes were cut by bacco machines and all this was a new experience for the daughter. She eagerly participated in all of this.

In fact, the front yard of the house has been well maintained for so long that I felt sad when digging the yard with bacco machines but forgot about the sadness with the thought that the garden will be landscaped again in the future.

Then at 10.00 the auspicious time for laying the foundation stone was applied. Prior to that the Thero conducted a Pirith sermon at the house. In the meantime we laid the foundation stone.

The building contractors continued their work and we were ready to prepare lunch at around 11.30. Dhal curry, chicken curry, fried potato curry, cucumber salad and papadum were prepared for lunch and lunch was served around 1.30.
During this work I also fed my daughter and sent her to a nap in the evening.

she was very tired today because of the turbulent environment in the morning.
In fact, the purpose of building a house was a dream that my husband and I had in our minds for a long time and today it was a great pleasure for both of us to make that dream come true.
We plan to complete this task in two phases and I think taking the first steps today is a great achievement in our lives.
