Before I started writing the title of this post, I hesitated for a few minutes whether I should say famous person or 'star'. I decided that famous person is better in my case because although my partner has been a frontman in a rock band which is pretty famous in our country, I can't say he's quite a star, although many do refer to him as a celebrity.
The perspective is surely different as each one understands the concept of fame differently and nowadays with all the fuss around youtubers and instagrammers, I think we've really reshaped the idea of a 'star'.
Point being made that I am not in a relationship with a star, but with a famous artist, let me tell you a little bit about how life with such a person is like.
First, and as you can easily imagine, our days are anything but boring. He is always involved in his project, constantly recording, writing lyrics or rehearsing which means little spare time in between. You might be wondering if this is not a problem for me or if I am not jealous/alone in this type of relationship. And the honest truth is that I am not. I also have a lot on my plate with all my work projects and my hobbies and I can also thank him for this as he gave me a good example and always urged me to pursue my passion for writing. He was also the one who told me about this platform.
Bottom line is that we don't have a lot of time to spend together, but when we do, we make up for all the hours and days we've spent apart and have a lot of fun.
Unlike couples who spend a lot of time (maybe too much) together, we've never had time to get bored of one a other as we really take advantage of the limited time we can dedicate to each other. So, less means more does apply in our case :).
Another trait that definitely characterizes living with an artist is the environment. I got to meet a lot of interesting, even strange people thanks to him and all these acquaintances have made my life spicier. Also, there is the perk of getting free invitations to concerts, plays, book events and all other sorts of artsy gatherings.
Finally, life with a famous person/artist is full of colour because these people have a great imagination. They always astonish with new ideas. Maybe it's a professional defect, but they also entertain in their private life too. There's almost never a dull moment and if there is, these people make sure it won't last for long.
