Now the corona virus infection rate is the highest in my county-9820 people infected, 133 people died, and 3277 active cases today.  Basically, most people here are shelter at home.  Kids have the distance learning, and most workers telework home.  

I have been working at home over 4 months, and I usually stay home a whole week except taking half hour for groceries shopping.  Now I decide to take a walk in the early morning on the weekend because I gain more than 4 pounds and do much less exercise lately. 

This morning had the best weather ever, and the temperature was only 70 degrees at 8:30am.  When I walked out of my front door, I immediately felt the breeze blowing to me.  The morning air was so fresh that it made me remember the air that I breathed on the Waikiki beach two years ago.  I inhaled the freshest morning airs and tried to exhale all the CO2 out of my body.  It felt so good!

I walked pass by the elementary school that just a block away from my house.  The school has be emptied over four months.  It’s so sad that I was no longer seeing the kids running around there anymore .  

The grasses and the trees on the park next to school were as green as before, but no kids played on the playground and only one person was walking her dog.  I walked to the side stepping on the grasses instead of the walkway to keep the distance away from her.  Both of us looked at each other smile but without saying a word.

I walked passing by my neighbors houses.  
Most of them still mowed their lawn, took good care of their flowers, and trimmed the bushes nicely.  Many of us still tried to keep our lives as normal as possible in this pandemic time.

Suddenly, I heard a loud noises coming behind and a bright red sport car was passing by.  The driver must enjoy the empty street that he could drive fast.  The people walked across street and I were staring at the car.

After half hour, I finally finished my morning walk and got back home.  Home, sweet home, to keep me safe, but I hope this pandemic will be over fast.  So I can walk out freely to interact with families, friends, co-workers, or whoever that we meet.
