''संपिक्खए  अप्पगमप्पएणं' ' means that the soul is seen by the soul.
 This annihilation, the talk of seeing the other than the soul ends only when this tone comes out. यह पर्व अध्यात्म की यात्रा का विलक्षण उदाहरण है जिसमें यह दोहराया जाता है- 
'संपिक्खए  अप्पगमप्पएणं' अर्थात आत्मा के द्वारा आत्मा को देखो।
 यह उद्घोष, यह स्वर सामने आते ही  आत्मा के अतिरिक्त दूसरे को देखने की बात ही समाप्त हो जाती है। 
'आत्मा के द्वारा आत्मा  को देखो'- यह उद्घोष इस बात का सूचक है कि आत्मा में बहुत सार है, उसे देखो और किसी  माध्यम से नहीं, केवल आत्मा के माध्यम से देखो। इस महान उद्देश्य के साथ केवल साधु-संत  ही नहीं बल्कि अनुयायी भी बड़ी तादाद में आत्म साधना में तत्पर होते हैं।

 छिछोरा -परिवेश में अध्यात्म यात्रा के इस पथ पर जो नए-नए पथिक आगे बढ़ते हैं, उन्हें इस पथ पर चलने में कठिनाई का अनुभव हो सकता है, कुछ बाधाएं भी सामने आ सकती हैं। यह उलझन जैसी लगती है, पर कोई उलझन नहीं है। यह उलझन तब तक ही प्रतीत होती है, जब तक कि अध्यात्म की यात्रा प्रारंभ नहीं होती। इस पथ पर जैसे-जैसे चरण आगे बढ़ते हैं, उलझन सुलझती चली जाती है। समाधान होता जाता। जब हम अंतिम बिंदु पर पहुंचते तब वहां  समस्या ही नहीं रहती। सब स्पष्ट हो जाता है। एक अपूर्व परिवेश निर्मित हो जाता है और इस  पर्व को मनाने की सार्थकता सामने आ जाती है।
 
आज हर आदमी बाहर ही बाहर देखता है। जब किसी कारन से भीतर की यात्रा प्रारंभ होती है  और इस सच्चाई का एक कण, एक लव अनुभूति में आ जाता है कि सार सारा भीतर है, सुख  भीतर है, आनंद भीतर है, आनंद का सागर भीतर लहराता है, चैतन्य का विशाल समुद्र भीतर  उछल रहा है, शक्ति का अजस्र स्रोत भी भीतर है, अपार आनंद, अपार शक्ति, अपार सुख- ये  सब भीतर हैं, तब आत्मा अंतरात्मा बन जाती है। यही कारण है कि पर्युषण महापर्व  मिलान के साक्षात्कार का अलौकिक अवसर है।
 
पर्युषण पर्व अंतरआत्मा की आराधना का पर्व है, आत्मशोधन का पर्व है, निद्रा त्यागने का पर्व  है। सचमुच में पर्युषण पर्व एक ऐसा सवेरा है, जो निद्रा से उठाकर जागृत अवस्था में ले जाता  है। अज्ञानरूपी अंधकार से ज्ञानरूपी प्रकाश की ओर ले जाता है। तो जरूरी है प्रमादरूपी नींद को  हटाकर इन 8 दिनों विशेष तप, जप, स्वाध्याय की आराधना करते हुए अपने आपको सुगंधित  करते हुए अंतरआत्मा में लीन हो जाएं जिससे हमारा जीवन सार्थक व सफल हो पाएगा।
