howdy sir nateonsteemit! they say they don't bother humans or domestic pets, like if a dog eats a cricket which infested it will just throw up. but I'm not taking any chances! just because it's creepy.

ha! I think you are the professor being a much deeper thinker and numbers guy too but I just wanted people to be aware of this. they say that dogs will just throw up if they eat them but I don't want to take that chance because those things are creepy!

I'm so sorry Princess! It was not my intention to gross people out but this is very common and people with dogs need to know about it! 
poor crickets and poor dogs like Jack who's been eating them! Jack loves to eat them out of the pool!

oh crickets are rare down there cecicastor? it's probably the only critter that is! lol. that's good news though. yeah they give me the creeps even though they're small.

howdy there Rainbow Man! well .. they aren't supposed to affect domestic animals but I wouldn't be too sure about what "they" say or tell us about, I would play it safe and make sure they don't eat any.
But man, with as many cats as you guys have that would cost alot to treat them all for worms and they probably need it!

well they say that these are harmless to people, if they get injested..I guess by eating crickets...they're supposed to be eliminated or thrown up! lol. that would be lovely huh? either way.
And same for domestic pets but I wouldn't take a chance.

well pets are supposed to not be infested with those things but I have my doubts, humans aren't either. 

But if they get into pets they're supposed to regurgitate them out, same with humans! lol. 
Maybe I should have put that in the post but people were already pretty grossed out!

Now we know why they're in there. should I catch some and smash them open and see if they have those worms in them and then show the worms and dead crickets on a post?

oh wow I don't know. The articles that I read didn't give locations so I just figured it was anyplace that had crickets but maybe not. 

well you would have seen these things, this isn't the first time we've seen them but we didn't know they were alive and were worms.

This one started moving around though so we scooped it up to take a closer look see.

well howdy there hebrewhousewife! there's no way to know if you don't have water for them to get into unless you can tell that they aren't chirping but I don't know how you do that because surely not all of them would be infested so at least some of them would be chirping.

Well the good news is that they say pets don't get infested but just throw up and get them out.  but you probably have gone and researched the situation already.

I never knew insects could get worms either, who would have thought that?
oh that one we had, we just smashed it, it was tiny like a tiny string.
