Enam jabatan eselon IIb tersebut adalah Asisten Pemerintahan, Asisten Ekonomi Pembangunan, Asisten Administrasi dan Umum, Kepala dinas Perpustakaan Dan Arsip, Kepala Dinas Pertanahan Dan Kepala Dinas Parawisata, Pemuda Olah Raga. Masing masing jabatan memiliki tiga kandidat kuat yang disajikan kepada Kepala Daerah yaitu Bupati dalam hal ini adalah Bupati Aceh Utara. Tugas Bupatilah menentukan satu dari tiga orang ini untuk menjadi pejabat eselon IIb.
