It has come to my notice that there is an impersonator faking all Whales accounts.
I had to write this because just one hour ago i got a message from a person impersonating our own @gavvet.

I played along easily to understand the tactic used.
I did not want to post this until i saw this post just a few minutes ago talking of how another whale @sweetsssj  is being impersonated.

# How the impersonator does it
This person signs up on Steemit chat with a username that is almost the same with the original name of the author.

If you are not very keen,you cannot realize it.
They trick you to send them SBD in promise of them reseetiming or upvoting your post.

I pretended to be dumb and waited for him/her to complete their task.

I delayed to respond and he/she blocked/muted  me!
I informed @surpassinggoogle of this and he told me he would let @gavvet know.

I am scared more whales are going to be impersonated soon or they are being impersonated as i write and as you read this now.

# How to detect scams

* There is no whale who can ask for SBD for upvotes or resteem
* Check for the spelling of the username.
