ABC 7 News captured the bizarre mind-boggling police response to a group of looters in Long Beach, California, which you can be seen in the video below.

The riot police who apparently responded to the looting of a private business somehow managed to board up the entire thing with some of the petty thieves inside, trapping them in the building. Either that, or it was already boarded up and the police were blocking the entry point where the criminals had entered. In any event, the police who were presumably called to the scene to stop the looting, do just the opposite and watch doing absolutely nothing as the looters manage to bust through an upper window above the plywood and run away right pass the police! The viewers are informed that the cops were given a stand down order, and so just watch as the looters, some carrying stolen goods, literally run right past them, and do nothing to stop this crime in progress. As soon as the looters have all safely escaped unharmed and without being arrested under the watchful eye of the riot police, the cops rush to the area under the broken window, as the reporters voice their disbelief at such a bizarre scene and lack of effort by police to stop such looting.
This is apparently becoming a somewhat standard response to violent looters across the country, often allowing them to carry out their violence and thefts without interference while the police instead target and assault innocent passerby's, as happened twice in the same afternoon last Sunday at a Chicago Mall where looting had been reported, as I covered in my last post.
At the same time, the police who seem to be going out of their way to encourage or at least allow with minimal interference the criminal activity associated with riots and looting, they have at the same time arrested over 11,000 protesters and killed 17 more in the past twelve days of nationwide protests, [as reported by Mint Press News](https://www.mintpressnews.com/george-floyd-protests-us-arrests-now-higher-than-hong-kong-protest-total-figures/268292/) in their enlightening piece on the police crackdown of peaceful protesters across the country.
The general police priority seems to be clamping down on and shutting down large peaceful protests while allowing looting and riot violence to go unchecked, using the latter to justify the former. The majority of police violence, brutality, assaulting and detaining of Americans has been directed against the peaceful protesters seeking justice rather than violent rioters or criminal looters disturbing the peace.
Make of this strange and backwards situation what you will, but if this is what Trump’s “law and order” looks like, it can clearly be far more accurately described as police state tyranny and lawless disorder. The one thing we definitely aren’t seeing right now is justice, and that’s the very thing millions of protesters nationwide have been marching for twelve days demanding.
