A Libertarian friend of mine shared with me the the other day the following hilarious poem on taxation he had seen on Facebook, which rather shockingly neither of us had ever heard before; and needless to say we both had quite the laugh. I figured that if we hadn't heard it, than probably neither had many others who would surely also appreciate it, so I decided to go ahead and share it here on Steemit. The poem itself is to be found widely across the internet in slightly varied forms, presumed to be public domain as the original author is anonymous/unknown. The version posted here was slightly tweaked by myself and also includes an attached addendum [sourced from *Freedoms Phoenix*](https://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Article/069985-2010-06-08-the-tax-poem.htm), followed by my own quick conclusion and an additional, original verse of my own. Enjoy :)

### The Tax Poem

Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax the bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.

Tax his truck, tax his bike,
Tax him when he takes a hike.
Tax his work, tax his pay,
He works for peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his gas,
Find other ways to tax his ass.

Tax his food, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his coffee, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.

Tax his bills, tax his honey,
Tax his notes, tax his money.
Tax all he has, then let him know
You won't be done til' he has no dough.

If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him til' he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave, 
Then tax the sod in which he's laid.

Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"
And when he's gone, we won't relax,
It's time to apply the inheritance tax!

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had next to no national debt, had the largest
middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened between then and now? Everything changed with the creation of the private, foreign, [Rothschild-owned Federal Reserve Bank](http://www.angelfire.com/music2/fullcircle/rothschild.html) in 1913. **Politics is indeed the host of many swarms of life-sucking, freedom-crushing parasites**. Politicians are delusional hypocrites, freedom-hating, life-sucking, power-hungry deceivers, the enemies of humanity and often bloodthirsty warmongering psychopaths. **The Zionist bankers are even worse.** Believe it or not, there are even more taxes not listed above, but all these taxes are still not enough, and clearly no amount of taxes will ever be enough to satisfy these greedy leaches. This is insanity. These political parasites are always continuously seeking to both raise current taxes as well as implement new ones, bringing the push for a global carbon tax to mind. Thinking about it inspired me to write yet another verse to add to this poem:

*Tax his son, tax his daughter,
Taxes are fun, let's tax his water.
Tax his seeds, tax his trees,
Soon we'll be taxing the air he breathes!*

I hope you have enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed putting it together, and I hope it didn't make you too angry :) The next time you hear your friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers or any politicians advocating for new or higher taxes, keep this American insanity in mind, and feel free to share this poem with them - it may just change their mind.
