Player Profile: Moeen Ali
When you want to talk about great men in the game of Cricket, you should always want to consider mentioning Moeen Ali. In English Cricket, this player has hit quite an impressive record all over the country. Born in Birmingham, West Midland, England, on the 18th of June 1987 to Muslim parents, he has risen over the years and in the English Cricket, he is considered one of the best. He is a batsman who is skilled at using the left hand to play. Before 2006, he starred in county cricket with Warwickshire and after the 2006 season, he went on to Worcestershire.

Moeen Ali got signed to Warwickshire when he was 15 years old and this was the start of his career and by 2005, he made a first-class debut when he played against Cambridge University. In this match, he successfully made 57 hits not out of his innings. Later in 2006, he was selected for the Under 19 Cricket World Cup in 2006 which held in Sri Lanka. Due to his performance this period, he was promoted to Captain, and in this tournament, he was able to clinch three half-centuries and seven widgets.

In this same year, he played very well in his first List A games and he also collected his first wicket in first-class cricket. In 2007, Moeen Ali made his starting appearance in Worcestershire and after this match, they were able to win over Loughborough UCCE.

In 2014, the incredibly talented Moeen Ali was included in the squad for the Bangladesh ICC World 2014 Cricket tournament where he represented England. Before this tournament, he and the members of his team played against the West Indies scoring 44 runs before he was dismissed and took his first One-day international wicket. In 2019, Moeen Ali was named for the 2019 Cricket World Cup representing England and on the match day on 21st June 2019, he made his 100th One-Day international Appearance.

Apart from sports, Moeen is an Ambassador for StreetChance, you may be wondering what StreetChance is. It is a program that is set up for the provision of cricket coaching sessions for young adults which is free. This program is set to run in several underprivileged areas in the United Kingdom and its major sponsors are the Barclays Spaces for Sports and the Cricket Foundation. Moeen Ali has also worked with an international NGO known as Orphans in Need. It is a British Charity organization that is set up and dedicated to improving the lives of the widows and the orphans all around the United Kingdom. Moeen Ali became the Global Brand Ambassador and he still carried the logo of the charity on his bat while playing.

Moeen Ali is a great cricket player and in 2015, he was nominated for the British Muslim Award for the Best in Sports Category. The British Muslim Award is a ceremony set aside to award great Muslim achievers in Britain. It awards individuals, groups, and businesses who have helped in redefining the whole face of Islam.
