Dalam istilah ilmu komunikasi banyak terdapat jenis komunikasi, dari sekian banyak itu kerap digunakan oleh setiap individu dalam kehidupan sehar-hari adalah komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal. Keduanya itu memang tak bisa dipisahkan, kerena komunikasi nonverbal pun bukan hanya digunakan ketika berbicara dengan orang bisu atau kata isyarat, bahkan antara kedua orang yang normal pun kerap sekali menggunakan komunikasi teraebut saat keperluan tertentu.
Namun, komunikasi verbal tentu tidak bisa dipakai oleh orang cacat dalam berkomunikasi atau bisu. Timbul pertanyaan, apakah komunikasi nonverbal itu hanya berlaku kepada orang bisu? Jawabannya tentu bukan demikian.
Komunikasi nonverbal adalah menggunakan bahasa tubuh, ekspresi wajah, gerak isyarat, penggunaan objek seperti pakaian, gaya emosi, gaya berbicara, simbol-simbol dan sebagainya. Sedangkan komunikasi verbal adalah penyampaian pesan secara langsung baik melaui tulisan maupun lisan yang lebih mudah dipahami oleh orang lain.
Barangkali itulah sedikit penjelasan antara kedua jenis komunikasi tersebut.
Nah, disini ada hal yang menarik untuk diperhatikan seperti gambar diatas. Dimana lukisan itu seakan menyampaikan pesan moral kepada kita dengan penuh makna, mungkin jika dilihat sekilas hanya bentuk lukisan biasa seperti tidak ada tafsiran yang berarti.
Bisa disaksikan bersama bahwa pada gambar itu terlihat seorang pria memboncengi wanita dengan menggunakan sepeda, wanita itu pun tampak berpakaian sopan dan islami, pria yang mendayung sepeda itu pun terlihat rapi dan sopan.
Tentu tidak semua daerah akan terdapat simbol-simbol seperti ini di lokasi tertentu. Jika anda berkunjung ke tanah rencong atau Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Indonesia, banyak di lokasi wisata maupun pusat kota pasti anda akan menemukan gambar atau simbol sejenisnya. Karena Provinsi Aceh merupakan salah satu daerah di indonesia yang bisa menerapkan aturan syariat islam, sehingga semua lokasi wisata di daerah itu dijadikan wisata religi dan bebas dari kemaksiatan.
Sementara gambar diatas, saya menemukan di pesisir pantai jangka Kabupaten Bireun, Provinsi Aceh. Setiap hari libur maupun hari besar lainnya, dikawasan itu selalu dipadati pengunjung dari berbagai daerah khususnya di Aceh.
Pihak pengelola pantai, memasang gambar dimaksud tentu tidak lain hanyalah untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada para pengunjung, bahwa ketika mulai memasuki arena wisata itu harus berpakaian sopan baik pria maupun wanita. Supaya akan terlihat tertib saat dipandang, disamping itu juga untuk mencegah timbulnya perbuatan kemaksiatan di lokasi wisata tersebut.
