Hello my friends on Steemit.  Today I bring you something you most likely never heard about and never saw called the Piss Bottle Revolt.

This was a revolt by over the road truckers in the United States when the Commercial Safety Act was signed into law by President Barrack Hussein Obama  Created Date: 7/20/2010 9:14:55 AM .

Not long after this law was signed truckers and trucking companies began to read the law.  Of all of those in the industry, truckers the actual operators of trucks became somewhat angered. 

Someone actually has to drive the truck and while driving the truck, thinking about the thousands of pages of driver regulations is...the cause of accidents.

Things such as hours of service, when it is legal to drive a truck began to change.  The law created two sets of safety criteria and each was huge in regulations.  Each set of regulations put almost all the burdens of the regulations, FINES, on the drivers.

Fuel prices were ridiculously high and drivers decided they had enough.  Who actually started it?  No one knows but what began to happen was drivers filled bottled up with pee, urine, and threw them out at weigh stations onto the ground.

Sometimes called truck scales, weigh stations, DOT Inspection Areas, of Ports of Entry most people who drive on the highways do not notice them and never enter them.  I was a trucker at the time, I have been on strike since the law was enacted in 2012, and like all other truckers I had to drive my truck onto the scales to be weighed.

Again, in protest the truckers threw out bottles of urine onto the ground as they drove around the weigh station grounds.  In the busier weigh stations, there were thousands of bottles all over the ground.  The fine for throwing down a bottle of urine was $10,000.  So, to do it you can imagine how angry the truckers were.

What is most interesting is that this never reached the news or it would be more accurate to state that: the strike and the protest was completely squashed by the government.  So that no one but people in the transport industry knew about it.

I have written on the subject countless times and incurred much harassment.  Often times I was met at a weigh station by an officer who would lecture on why I was a criminal and all these regulations had to be followed.  My response was,

# _"Since you know so much about driving a truck, why don't you drive the truck.  I'll go home. "_  I did too.

The point of this article is: if you have something worth protesting, keep at it.  You will win.

Many of the regulations are either suspended from the law and there is some question as to whether it will continue to stand.  Why?  People like me absolutely refuse to drive a truck ever again unless the law is removed.

For some reason, people think truckers are complete idiots and the case in point is that many of us simply cannot get the job of our dreams anywhere else.  So, for awhile we drive trucks and as soon as we sit behind the wheel we become criminals subject to absolutely abusive treatment.  Oh, we are not criminals, we are the people that live in trucks to bring every last single thing you buy but the law treats us like criminals.

All of our movements are completely monitored and we must log them on a form.  Once we start to drive a truck, our whole lives are monitored 24 hours a day, every day.  Should we make a mistake on the form, the fine is absolutely horrible.  And, it gets much worse than just that.  No, that is the most minor inconvenience.

Again, if you have a valid thing to protest: Keep at it.  You will win!  

So, what does this mean for North Korea?  Sometimes you have to know when to quit.
