우리가 보통 '찾다'라는 단어를 쓰면 'find'를 많이 떠올리곤 하잖아요?
하지만 그렇게만 쓰면 절반 이상은 틀린 경우일 거라고 말씀하시더군요... 정확하게 찾다라는 표현을 잘 사용하려면 어떻게 해야 할까요?

## find는 어떤 물건을 찾은 순간을 표현 (찾아냈다!의 의미)
I found my keys. 내 키를 찾아냈다!
I found my pen. 펜을 찾아냈다!
I found my cellphone. 내 휴대폰 찾아냈다!
찾고 있는 중에는 find를 쓰면 안됩니다. I am finding my keys 는 틀린 표현인 셈이죠.

## look for은 어떤 물건을 찾는 과정을 표현
Are you looking for something?
What are you looking for?
I'm looking for a good restaurant in this area.
I'm looking for a something to do this weekend.

## search는 기본적으로 공간, 장소, 지역을 '뒤지다', '수색하다'의 의미
I searched everywhere and I still can't find my keys.
Did you search your room?
Yeah, I searched my room, I searched my pockets, I searched my coat pockets.
I've been looking for them for two hours... I can't find them!

search the Internet -> 인터넷을 하나의 공간, 장소로 인지하기 때문에 그 공간을 뒤져보는 것입니다.
조심해야 할 것은, 우리나라 말에서의 "인터넷에서 식당을 검색했어"라는 표현을 말할 때입니다. 우리가 예전에 알던 대로 search를 그냥 '검색하다' 정도로 이해했다면 search the restaurant라고 쓸텐데 이건 틀린 표현이죠. 정확히는 틀린 표현은 아니지만, 의미가 '그 식당을 수색하고 뒤져보았다'라는 게 되어서 원래 의도한 바에 어긋나게 됩니다.
I searched the Internet and I found some information about the brand. 와 같이 써야 합니다.
I looked for some information online / on the Internet. 와 같이 서도 됩니다.

## 인터넷에 무엇을 검색하다를 쓰고 싶을 때 search for 를 쓸 수도 있다!
정 어렵다면, search for이라는 단어가 있습니다. 
I searched for some information + online / on the Internet. 와 같이 쓸 수도 있는 것이죠.
다시 언급하지만 인터넷을 검색하다라고 쓸려면 for을 쓰면 안되고,
I searched the Internet to find some information.
