**Hello Jerry E!**

_**Agent**_ I'm Microsoft's new Virtual Agent. I'm still in training and I'd love to help you. You can also ask to talk to a person at any time. Please briefly describe your issue below.
**Me** #1407759286
_**Agent**_ Glad to talk to you. Could you describe your problem in detail?
**Me** #1407759286
_**Agent**_ Could you try to rephrase the question? Using different words can sometimes help.
**Me** I was here earlier, I want to **RETURN TO THAT TICKET you blithering robot!!!**
##
**Robot**

_**Agent**_ Get the status of your return and refund from Microsoft Store
If you request a refund for something you purchased from Microsoft Store, you can track its status.
Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Select Payment & billing > Order history. Find the product. It will include the return and refund status.
If you see we've issued the refund but the money hasn't been credited back to your payment option, wait a few days. Depending on the bank it can take a few days to process it.
_**Agent**_ Did this solve the problem?
**Me** _No I want to talk to a person_
Microsoft Answer Tech

Thanks for contacting Microsoft support, my name is Katlyn P. Please allow me a few moments while I review the information you provided.
**Me** Ticket #1407759286
**Katlyn** Hi there Jerry! Thanks for providing me the previous case number. Please give me few minutes to review the case.
Thank you
**Me** I was here earlier, in chat with **Ethel** . I told her over and over, that I had responded to the prompt to connect my PHONE to my computer.
I have 3 computers, two pcs and a laptop, all with Win10.
**Ethel** (The first tech)sent the steps she said I needed to me in email.
THEY ALL PERTAINED TO MY COMPUTER 😆 not ONE THING about my damned phone.
When I did the steps the first time, something was downloaded and/or installed on my PHONE that screwed things up and took me four days to undo.
I like the idea of having my phone and my computers connected, but I do NOT want that to happen again
**Katlyn** I perfectly understand how you feel regarding with this, Jerry.
Just to confirm your are having trouble with your phone after you installed an application on it, am I correct?

### **Me** (ARGH) 😆 #$*%&^$&*(cursing)
_**Listen to me carefully**_.
1. **I GAVE WINDOWS** my phone #. Something was downloaded to my phone to connect it to **WINDOWS**
2. once that happened, I could almost NOT USE my phone for a couple of days
3. I uninstalled the app (I don't remember what it was now) and **STILL** my phone didn't behave as it should
4. I restarted my phone several times, I checked for updates, finally the bloody app just wasn't there one day, after about 4 days
**Katlyn** Thanks for those information , Jerry, May I know what type of phone do you exactly have? Is it windows phone or an android phone?
**Me** Do you not have the notes from ticket #1407759286? I told Ethel
It is a Samsung Galaxy J7, android. I told **Ethel** all this, I told **Ethel** it was a problem with something downloaded to my phone, so WHY did she send me all that crap about MSCONFIG on my damned computer?
**Katlyn** Thanks for that, Jerry. Yes I just check the chat transcript. Sorry about that. Just want to confirm. There's a possibility that we are having a compatibility issue here. But to be honest connecting your android phone to windows should be done via Bluetooth by going to settings >> devices >> then add your phone.
Do you happened to remember how did you exactly provide your phone number in your windows 10 computer so that that application will be installed in your android phone? As that said application might not compatible to run in your phone the reason why it cause this concern.
**Me** I have hearing loss, and I have several bluetooth devices that help me with calls, so my bluetooth is on all the time. That being said, I do NOT remember anything about bluetooth being involved with the previous episode.
It seems to me, that either an app came down the pipe, or I was told to go to the play store and get something
My computers are not bluetooth compatible
Not that I know of anyway
**Katlyn** I perfectly understand, Jerry, We might having a compatibility issue of the application that was downloaded in your phone. If you really want to connect your phone to your windows you may try connecting them via wired.
**Me** *sighs* Katlyn, I routinely connect my phone to my computer via USB, when I want to transfer photos or files from one to the other.
**Katlyn** Because the application is only compatible with windows phone, you may check this link. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17274/windows-10-mobile-sync-phone
**Katlyn** But the process how did you exactly connect your phone your windows like providing your number, may I know how did you exactly provide your number to your windows 10 device?
**Me** If it is only compatible with WINDOWS PHONE, tell your damned WINDOWS OS to leave me alone and stop prompting.
When I get the prompt, the FIRST and ONLY thing it asks me for IS MY PHONE NUMBER
I GAVE it my phone #
**Katlyn** do you mean when you connect your phone to your windows via wired it ask for your phone number, am I correct?

## **Me** _**OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO THAT IS NOT WHAT I’M SAYING**_.
Can you make it so I can paste an image here please?
Okay, let’s do it this way.
I go to **ALL SETTING**s The third **OPTION IS PHONE! IT SAYS CONNECT YOUR ANDROID PHONE!**
If I click on that, I will ask me for my **PHONE NUMBER**..._**don't you people even know what WINDOW TEN OPTIONS there are**_?
I'm looking at it right now. It says **"Windows Loves all your devices-get essential apps that help you work better across your devices. Enter your phone Number and we'll text you a link to get the first app.
Microsoft uses your phone number this one-time only and the information will not be stored. Standard SMS rates may apply”**
**Katlyn** Alright, thanks for letting me know about the detailed information, Jerry, I do really appreciate. We do really have that feature in the latest update of windows update. There's a possibility that we are having a compatibility issue of the application that was downloaded in your phone. And I do recommend that you may contact your phone manufacturer as well to check if it is compatible. Your phone may need to update as well. But no worries as I will have everything here documented in this case number 1407759286 what actually happened when you try to connect your phone using the new feature of windows 10.
**Me** This "issue" was almost two months ago. There have been several Windows updates since then, so this option is not 'new', but I thank you. I will not be trying to connect my phone to windows, which will download an app without concern whether or not it is compatible with my device
Good Night **Katlyn**
**Katlyn** I perfectly understand where you coming from, Jerry. And I do really appreciate letting us know about this. You can actually also send a feedback regarding with this using the windows 10 feedback hub so that our Microsoft engineers will know about it and might do a patch for the next updates.
Thank you so much for your time and patience regarding with this, Jerry. I do really appreciate it.
