It has been a very eventful (read: exciting and adrenalin-filled) week with the battle raging, with #Steem vs #Tron. 

What Justin Sun did was wrong, undeniably - corrupt and unethical. To launch such a vicious sneak attack before the March 6 meeting (that was scheduled to be held), and colluding with exchanges. It was wrong to use Steem which **are not his at all** to support his faceless puppet witnesses.

I'm not wholly defending our witnesses too. I read a comment left by @quillfire on a Steemleo post, where he likened it to war.

They acted _pre-emptively_, which could be out of fear arising from Justin Sun's extremely shady reputation, but any pre-emptive strike can and will be used as a pretext for a retaliatory attack of greater proportions.

Reminds me of history: Six Day War, which was also a pre-emptive strike by Israel, was followed by Yom Kippur War. Striking your enemy when your enemy's unprepared and engaged in observance of the holiest day in their religion may be underhanded, but in war everything becomes murky.

If not who can coin the phrase, all's fair in love and war? 

Could they have just waited til Justin Sun did something drastic first? Then perhaps they might be truly blameless on all fronts, as it would merely be a defensive act.

I do see more clearly the weaknesses of DPoS that someone close to me was trying to warn me of - but more than that, I see the spirit of a community that refuses to quit.
Refuses to give up in the face of what seems like overwhelming odds. Rallies together despite differences, and a willingness to set aside differences for a greater cause.

I've never liked fighting; I've never liked wars. But here I find myself in the midst of one, with all my Witness votes cast, watching to see how this space will be when the dust settles.
