Vivimos tiempos donde las personas están llenas de mucho temor y ansiedad por todo lo que a nivel global está aconteciendo. El mapa que antes parecía claro ya no lo es; los planes que se tenían construidos se desvanecieron y la humanidad desconoce cómo afrontar los retos que pone ante sí la realidad actual de esta pandemia. No se sabe cuándo ni cómo terminará, ni a cuántos más afectará, en fin hay mucho miedo e incertidumbre arropando al mundo entero.

Entonces viene a mi mente una escena que se encuentra en el libro de Deuteronomio 31: 6, allí Moísés tenía 120 años y Dios le había indicado que no podría entrar a la tierra de Canaán (la tierra prometida). Dios de igual manera le indica que Josué tomaría su lugar. Hubo en el pueblo mucho suspenso e incertidumbre debido a que el líder que durante 40 años caminó con ellos ya no estaría y aunque había la promesa de conquistar esa tierra llena de gente armada, fuerte, gigante, etc, el temor los invadió. Moisés en medio de un discurso les dice a todos lo siguiente: “Esforzaos y cobrad ánimo; no temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos, porque Jehová tu Dios es el que va contigo; no te dejará, ni te desamparará”.

Hoy en día enfrentamos un gigante invisible, que arropa a todo el mundo y del cual hay muchas dudas sobre nuestra supervivencia. Muchos creen que Dios se alejó del planeta y nos dejó solos para arreglárnoslas como podamos. Muchos se ven cómo pequeños, débiles y vulnerables ante esta amenaza. Aunque la realidad sea tan dura, la Palabra de Dios cobra vigencia para nosotros y debemos creerla y apropiarnos de ella.

Para los que somos sus hijos, es tiempo de dejar a un lado los “estorbos de la fe”, apropiarnos de su Palabra, sus promesas y cobrad ánimo para ser verdaderos heraldos de esperanza en este mundo de calamidad. Para los están separados de Dios, cuyas vidas han sido basadas en lo material y efímero de este mundo, este tiempo es la razón perfecta para esforzarse a acercarse a Él. La Biblia dice: “Buscad a Jehová mientras puede ser hallado, llamadle en tanto que está cercano. Deje el impío su camino, y el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos, y vuélvase a Jehová, el cual tendrá de él misericordia, y al Dios nuestro, el cual será amplio en perdonar”. Isaías 55: 6-8 (Versión Reina Valera 1960).

Amigo, hermano, Dios está con aquellos que le buscan de corazón, que rinden su vida por completo y entregan todo lo que son, tienen y representan. El esforzarse y cobrad ánimo son los ingredientes perfectos para una fe victoriosa que agrada a Dios. A los creyentes en Cristo, es tiempo de prueba y purificación. Para los no creyentes, es tiempo de arrepentimiento, de salvación y vida plena en Dios aunque la realidad muestre muerte y desolación, lo que Dios ofrece va “millones de años luz más allá” de lo que vemos hoy.

Es ahora el momento de tener fe en su Palabra y sus Promesas. Todo esto pasará, pero Su Palabra permanece para siempre.

We live in times where people are filled with a lot of fear and anxiety for everything that is happening globally. The map that previously seemed clear is not so clear anymore, the plans that were had vanished and humanity does not know how to face the challenges that the current reality of this pandemic puts before it. It is not known when or how it will end, or how many more it will affect, in short, there is a lot of fear and uncertainty covering the whole world.

Today we face an invisible giant, which covers the whole world and of which there are many doubts about our survival. Many believe that God moved away from the planet and left us alone to cope however we can. Many see themselves as small, weak and vulnerable to this threat. Although the reality is so harsh, the Word of God takes effect for us and we must believe it and own it.

For those of us who are his children, it is time to put aside the "hindrances of faith", appropriate his Word, his promises and take courage to be true heralds of hope in this world of calamity. For those separated from God, whose lives have been based on the material and fleeting of this world, this time is the perfect reason to strive to draw closer to Him. The Bible says: “Seek Jehovah while he can be found, call him as long as that is close. Let the wicked leave his way, and the wicked man his thoughts, and turn to Jehovah, who will have mercy on him, and to our God, who will be ample in forgiving ”Isaiah 55: 6-8 (Reina Valera 1960 Version).

Friend, brother, God is with those who seek Him from the heart, who give their lives completely and give all that they are, have and represent. Effort and courage are the perfect ingredients for a victorious faith that pleases God. To believers in Christ, it is a time of testing and purification. For non-believers, it is a time of repentance, salvation and full life in God, although reality shows death and desolation, what God offers goes “millions of light years beyond” what we see today.

Now is the time to have faith in his Word and his Promises. All of this will pass, but His Word remains forever.
