Bleary windows cast doubt,

<br>But the world without, 
Matters little to the house.


<br>And the wind and rain war
With no clear victory,

And the years roll on,
As waves upon the sea.


<br>Safe within these walls
I scarcely hear the rain,

The strongest gusts of wind
Cannot enter in.


<br>And the years roll on
Through several world wars,

And the house still stands
Oblivious of the storms.


<br>And I long to be as strong
As sure and self contained,

Yet every passing storm
Rocks the world I have made.</center>
