This is the new vision of the nucleus of our galaxy the Milky Way, with an image that reminds us that electromagnetism is one of the fundamental forces of nature and that it is capable of weaving structures in space such as the gigantic magnetized threads that you see in the picture.
<p><br></p>
Some threads that weave a tapestry of energy in the galactic center, the image is so impressive that it has been defined by NASA itself as verbatim "a cosmic masterpiece" and was achieved using a giant mosaic of data from the Chandra x-ray observatory of NASA and the Meerkat radio telescope located in South Africa.

<p><br></p>
<div class="text-justify">
Unfortunately the earth is in the galactic plane and that is a problem, since the practical center remains hidden from our eyes by the gas and dust clouds of the disk of the plane, it is as if we are on the periphery of a crowd of people and we will try to see what happens in the center, we could not, because the people would not be in the vision, but if we had the super power of x-ray vision or we captured the radio waves, we could have an image of what happens in the center and that's pretty much what scientists have done.
<p><br></p>
The colors of what we see serve as a guide to know the intensity and origin of the data, the x-rays from the Chandra observatory are orange, green, blue and purple and the radio data from the Meerkat observatory are shown in colors lilac and gray, there is a thread that is particularly intriguing to scientists because it has X-rays and radio emissions intertwined.It is pointing perpendicularly to the plane of the galaxy and is about 20 light years long, but its width is only one hundredth of that. size, in addition to the threads the image reveals other wonders of the galactic center, for example great columns of hot gas that extend about 700 light years above and below the galactic plane.
<p><br></p>
The magnetic threads tend to be at the outer limits of these large columns of hot gas, which suggests that the gas in the columns is driving powerful magnetic fields that collide to create the threads, all of these phenomena are created due to energetic events. that occur in the galactic center and especially around the supermassive black hole that hides within it.
