*Around us,
is a million tongue
wagging in unison!
they say backwards
is forward
but forward is backwards.
In our senile soul,
we're bemused as blisters
popped without warning,
clattering into darkness.*

*We're led by bats
hovering and hooting
in millions
led into demise
by the wisest of men.
foolishness is a virtue
which we extol.
for our ways
are filled with shrubs and gulley
and leads to beautiful destruction.*

hearts will shudder,
like a raft in a tempest
the glory days they say
is gone without a clue,
leaving us "unbrewed"
they forgot to tell us,
that the heavens above
is blue without beauty*

slithering our way
we're trapped in our fears
relishing slavery
when freedom is come.

leading us astray
to salvations we know not.*
