**Soots for commodore
Peebles for camaraderie,
grains of sand sputtering away,
slipping away,
from the grasp
of my delicate fingers
as yarns are spun
of adventures that drowns the eyes
and escapades that gladdens
the bottom of the heart.**

**We're telling tasty or teary tales
by the riverside,
watching it echo,
resonating the depth of our loneliness
like plantiff silence
resounding our gloom
and awakening boredom
we're craftmasters 
that turns fiction into reality
but our abilities are like salt
thrown to the harshness of the earth.**

**Our tales by the riverside
are of past glories
in bloody wars 
gory and daunting battles
where we conquered the world,
rumping the earth
to a standstill
but we rule in kingdoms
with no subjects
we live in empires with no sceptres**

**Stones and dirt,
listens with rapt attention
as we whistles and whisper
rattling and yapping
away as our voices triples 
and quadruples sadly
a magnificent story of pride
but we're hook, line and bait
in shallow streams
with no ripples to vibrate
when our tales comes to a raptorous end**

and when I read this - i STILL hear your voice :)

makes it come to life in a new way!

this is my favorite line (although - there are many REALLY nice lines in this!!! i can feel the emotion in this poem!!!)
