Now I know why you here!”* The War Lord Ghazi laughed, *“You’re goin’ to war!”* Commander Galligan straightened slightly as he looked at the man. Apparently the Captain and this War Lord had crossed ways in the past… “Ahh’m nae empowered tae discuss th' intent ay th' Keptin… but Ah am haur tae trade coppers fur powder..." Galligan said as he motioned to Seaman- Quarter Gunner Tokjockey and Seaman- Able Seaman Luesniper. The two seaman set their heavy chests down on the floor and opened them. The glint of the coppers filled the eyes of all in the room. “Powder, yes, we have powder. The mines of Socotra are rich in material for th’ makin' of powder. An important commodity here…” Suddenly, off to the side of the room, the long curtain was pulled back slightly, and the silhouette of a beautiful young woman reflected in the candlelight. Galligan turned and gazed at the on-looker, her piercing green eyes catching his gaze. Why were those eyes so familiar? So green? Ghazi beckoned the young woman to enter the room, and she quickly made her way to his side. She glanced at Galligan with desire in her eyes… “This is…Bashi, my granddaughter…” Ghazi explained. The young woman smiled, showing pearly-white teeth and uncommon dimples. She then leaned over and whispered into Ghazi’s ear. He nodded and motioned for her to leave. With the sleek and graceful movements of a cat, the young woman walked slowly out of the room, her hips swaying slightly with each step. She glanced back at Galligan one last time before disappearing behind the curtain. *“Blye me! Ahh think Ahh’m in loove!"* Luesniper whispered softly to Tokjockey as he watched her pass by. The War Lord straightened as he looked up at Galligan… “We will trade powder for coppers…on one condition…” “One condition?” Galligan replied, tilting his head to the side. “Yes. You see…we have a bound population here in Socotra...” “Ahh’m nae sure Ahh fully undrestain’ ye Sairrr...?" Galligan replied in confusion.
