I have always been against automatic vote, if you really build relationships with other users, it implies the reading of their materials and live comments on the subject.

But, I understand that it's hard to find free time for this (every day follow updates of friends and participate in discussions). And auto-vote in a sense is an opportunity to say Hello, to express respect for your relationship. Accordingly, if you withdrew from somebody list you have lost the interest of this person to you. So your actions in this case are absolutely correct.

On a more serious note I sold my tokens for 70$ which was quite lucky. 

It sucks...but I gonna cut my losses I dont want to have anything to do with them anymore.

horrible to watch the price fall like that when your in the middle of a transaction. I keep worrying that steemit will be messed up by the government i hope im just being paranoid but i expect they will get involved at some point and tax my profile! i know its hard but try not to dwell on bitconnect just move on and think positive :)

If you can , then do not worry about the steem price... soon it go up.
You better think about how to get some money out of there Bitconnect... and but it in steemit. 
If you're a creative person, then you can get it back here when you blog and make posts.

I'm happy I'm too new to have known about bitconnect.  What I don't like is that the United States charged a couple of crypto companies with fraud today. I believe it was in the futures market.  Im hoping Steem stays low for awhile so more people can buy it and support the community.

All joking a side to make your cash back from bitconnect I would just post as many vlogs/steem post with the tag bitconnect complaints or something to that effect.. until you hit your target. If you are truly upset with them take it a step higher target those that were actually involved find out names and info and throw it onto our site as a beware of list explaining their crypto offense but no matter what you do remember when you fall down it is only to get back up..

Sorry to hear you got mixed up in Bitconnect... It's sad to hear the amounts of money people lost in that. I hope you/ your family are diversified in other coins to make up for the loss.

Here is one thing I want you to know having been in business 8 years in the online…

You cannot! Put a website online generate (SALES) and think you can just shut down and NEVER be found.

You can be found….

If BITCONNECT does shut down or the coin completely wipes out. You guys already know whos on the board of directors and who is currently hosting the site etc.

What’s my point here…

BITCONNECT cannot just run off with the MONEY you invested.

BUT what I will say is that they should have been WAY more informative (in advance) if they really cared about the community.

…just being sloppy shutting down with out telling anyone or making excuses about a DDOS attack isn’t the way to go.

(Even when we get DDOS or our stuff goes down we inform our community)

So with that said I would if this all another week…

If you invested 100K to 1Million dollars of your hard earned dollars then you already know what to do (PROTECT YOURSELF)

yeah you are rite on researching about coins before buying them,
me..... I earned alot on steemit considering i spent $0 on it
luckily I stayed away from BCC as i had less amount on steemit at the time.... i feel lucky now
but I feel sorry for your and your brother's loss because it was a huge amount I hope it doent happen again :)

Bitconnect is lost. Also now we have to be concerned about identity thieves. Some people specifically were asked to "verify" their accounts on Bitconnect. These people may be at additional risk depending on what information they supplied.

Ultimately Bitconnect was unregulated and a total gamble. The way they decided to shut it down was exactly as a scam would and it burned the entire community which formed around Bitconnect.

The lesson from Bitconnect I think is that it's not really about platforms or technology, but about community and relationships. The wealth is in the community and relationships between human beings. The technology only facilitates that or not. The move of Bitconnect to completely throw out the platform in the way they did was the wrong move.

That said, the people who used the platform include some very smart and decent people. These people can always form a community around a more decentralized and secure network (including Steem but not limited to it).  The more secure network may not be as glamorous, it may not provide 1% daily interest, but it will also not be able to be shut down whether you choose to believe it is being shut down by authorities or as a scam.

BitConnect screwed everyone who used it. Sorry you were a victim. We've been yelling at users on Steemit that it's a scam for a long time, even many users got flagged for advertising it. I hope you'll recover your loss with better investments in the future.
