Month of June is  a special month for my family in Philippines. Last week, June 5 was my mother's birthday, Yesterday was my Auntie's birthday and June 21st  is my uncle's.

In the United States, **June 12** is also a National Red Roses Day. Red rose is a symbol of love and romance and the June birth flower is the rose.

Yesterday is also  a national holiday in the Philippines. The Filipinos not just in Philippines but also the OFWs are celebrating the country’s **121st Independence day** from the Spanish colonization dated back on June 12, 1898. On this holiday, a miniature Philippines flag can be seen in various places and below is my **15 minutes before and after oil pastel artwork** to honor this day.
