[Films Critics] In Time
<div class="text-justify">

Seeing how a film like In Time is capable of elaborating a super creative plot around an extremely interesting premise that places us in a world where the true value of life is finally recognized, is simply great because it allows us to explore different social perspectives that coexist in today's society, premises that are exposed with different metaphors to highlight and have a greater impact, because perhaps this is not the best film, but it is one of the most elaborate and creative plots I have seen.

To put you in context in case you haven't seen or remember this film, In Time focuses on a world where the only value recognized for all things is time, that is, time is the only convertible currency that exists in the world, there are no more banknotes or other kinds of coins, now everything revolves around time. A really great premise because if we think about it, time is the only element that we cannot buy in life, that element that we will never be able to replace or recover after we have wasted it. Well, as I was telling you this film places us in a somewhat futuristic world where all people have a kind of clock/counter attached to their arm that is activated when it reaches maturity, a clock that begins to walk and consequently to gradually run out if you do not work to get more time. Yes, in this world time is something "tangible" something that can be acquired and that determines the value and longevity of a person's life.

In this film we find a lot of social premises established around a society divided around the time they have and the time they can access, basically this film presents an unusual sectorization of human society by time zones where each sector is more luxurious, more full of benefits and therefore more expensive, which means that those who are in more privileged sectors / time zones spend more and must also gain more time to survive.

Something interesting in the plot of this film is that it allows us to explore the different vices of each sector starting with the most marginalized to reach the most privileged, all through the journey of a man who luckily finds another man who is tired of living so many years (yes, I forgot, in this world you live "eternally" as long as you have time in your clock) gives him a lot of time (money) for him to spend it and improve his life. This event gives a tremendous turn to history because we see how in this world there are not many laws of regulation or rather the most important law is the one that keeps time balanced between sectors, something that breaks when our protagonist jumps between the different privileged sectors without hesitation.

This really is a very interesting film because it allowed me to see interaction between social classes, reflected in a metaphor of time that manages to masterfully capture the discrimination and sectorization that lives in today's world where we constantly see people of low income or low class being abused without even receiving an opportunity. In this world your destiny is sealed from birth, since basically there is no possibility of being more than you already are (unless someone mysterious gives you a lot of money).

Without a doubt this is a movie that I liked very much because besides the creative plot and the critical messages it hides, it also has super tense scenes where we see the protagonists literally running through their lives begging and looking for seconds and minutes of life everywhere, something that gives it a truly dynamic and entertaining drama tone. I'm not saying that this is a perfect movie because those are hardly seen nowadays (The Joker, cough, cough!), but it is a very entertaining movie that manages to maximize the creative element used to give life to its plot.
