Portraits of Children (4 Practice Pieces)

Following up from my post yesterday I am adding more of my practice pieces from when I was first learning to draw portraits digitally! All of these were from when I was doing sketches from r/redditgetsdrawn. There is something fun about drawing kids, it seems to inspire me to be a bit more colourful and use palettes that i don't normally use. Also they are adorable!

This was one of my favorite child portraits, i was going for a soft watercolour look:

For this one i tried a more pop-art style with very bold contrast!

Looking back at these in retrospect they seem so sloppy but i remember being very proud of them at the time as digital was still quite a struggle for me. I also think it is a good example of how we can grow and learn as artists and how every piece produced gets us one step closer to being able to truly produce the images we have in our minds eye!
