There are beliefs that prior to the influx of the Spaniards, the Philippine archipelago is already under the empire of Hindu-Malaya of Sumatra, Indochina and Borneo but data does not entirely support on these conclusions. Like what we know, the datu that were mentioned in my previous post, left in their lands due to the problem they had with the king.

A reason that can be interpreted that they did not occupy the land in the name of their king. Historians like Hervas y Panduro, ensured that the migration of brown and mongoloid race to the Philippines has something to do with their land, which was proven by a note the time they migrated in Panay. But we should not take for granted the truth that the early migrators in the archipelago are sailors and fears nothing. This kind of traits can be responsible in its adventure to the undiscovered territories where they can live freely and peacefully.

I was not able to find a strong information that will prove the ascertion that the dwellers in the country had expressed their loyalty or is under any powerful migrators prior to the arrival of the Spaniards. The truth is that in the year 1570, becoming the son-in-law of the Sultan of Borneo which Radja Soliman who is holding the territory from west shore of Pasig river until end west can be treated as proof that Philippines was once under the influence of Borneo.

The truth about the marriage of the king of Spain Alfonso XIII to the grand daughter of Reyna Victoria of Inglatera, prove that Spain were not under Inglatera or opposed. We should not also forget that during those early times of the foreign migration and residency of Indonesians and Malaysians in the Philippines, the expansion of territory and sovereignty of the estates can only be done through occupation or conquest and this are through actual physical assertions of power to the occupied and acquired territory. There are no possibilities before to claim through trade because the laws on every nation are not yet known.

The Indonesians and Malaysians did not also came to the Philippines to occupy in the name of anybody or leader. Even they have occupied these island, it is due to the predominance of their culture, and they did it for their own benefits. We also knew that the Chinese pirate Limchong attempted to occupy the Philippines, but he was driven back by the Spaniards.

We also knew that Olandes and English failed to conquer the island. It is free to assume that the first foreign sovereignty built in the Philippines is the Spaniards, the first dwellers of the archipelago are people who love freedom, that due to the abuse of their king, they left their nation in exchange to the land of freedom.
