The Minister of Public Health Luis Zapico, during a week of work had contacts with mayors, representatives and authorities of various Chaco towns with the aim of articulating actions within the framework of the Provincial Campaign for the Promotion and Prevention of Communicable Diseases by Mosquitoes. "In each meeting we made special emphasis on the need to involve all the Chaqueños in prevention: State, health teams, community authorities and citizens," he said.

The meetings were carried out in different provincial headquarters through the segregation of the localities by sector. Intenders and communal authorities from Resistencia, Barranqueras, Fontana, Colonia Baranda, Puerto Vilelas, Presidency La Plaza, La Verde, San Martin, Puerto Tirol, Villa Ángela, San Martín, Roque Sáenz Peña Presidency, Avia Terai and Campo Largo, among others, participated. .

The contacts were specially programmed to unify criteria of action, establish strategies, deepen in key concepts for promotion and define the reorganization of the resources with regard to the activities carried out in each municipality to intensify and expand the prevention of Zika , Dengue and Chikungunya.

"It was pointed out to each municipal representative that this task should involve all Chaqueños equally: from Health knowledge and resources are guaranteed but it is the task of the citizens to maintain the prevention measures in the homes and of each Municipality to take care of the spaces shared, "he said.

In each meeting there were also the Undersecretaries of Health, Cristian Obregón, Health Promotion Jorge Merlo and Care and Access to the Health System Silvana Maurel and the Director of Epidemiology Mariela Fabiani.

The campaign includes various types of actions tending to the promotion and prevention of these pathologies such as discarding, sanitation of common spaces and homes, larval control, application of larvicides, awareness, among others, to be implemented throughout the first quarter of 2018.
