### The company that became the promoter of Israel's match against the  Argentine national team in Jerusalem, Comtec Group, tried to convince FIFA to cross out the Tango team from the 2018 World Cup . 

The Argentine national team was originally scheduled to face Israel at the Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem on Saturday for final preparations ahead of the 2018 World Cup. However, the Argentine Football Association [AFA] later decided to call off the friendly.

The decision by AFA to cancel Argentina's friendly against Israel was taken after the insistence of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA). The decision made the Comtec Group and the Israeli Football Association (IFA) outraged.

Comtec Group, which claims to have paid a match fee of US $ 2 million [equivalent to Rp27.8 billion] to AFA and has sold out tickets, has the support of IFA to report AFA to FIFA.

The decision by AFA to cancel Argentina's national team match against Israel is also a matter of statehood. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is rumored to call Argentine President Mauricio Macri to try to convince the Argentine national team to play against Israel. 

Macri then told Netanyahu that he had no control over AFA's decision to cancel Argentina's national team match against Israel.

Meanwhile AFA president Claudio Tapia said the decision to cancel a friendly against Israel was not for religious reasons. 

*"I hope you all understand the decisions I make as a contribution to world peace. Football goes beyond religion, gender, and has nothing to do with violence,"*  Tapia said.
