# So what is the problem? In a word, *shame.*

The problem isn't the force, but the suppression. It's not the river, but the desperate, endless damming up of what could be guided, directed, and embraced, to empower oneself and others through several potential outlets and expressions.

# The problem isn't sex, but thinking sex is a problem. 

A mere "pressure valve" to be relieved. There is some truth to this. The pressure valve.
The problem is feeling shame for the pressure's presence itself. Whether your expression is art, communication, touch, warm eye contact, athletics, performance, sex with your partner, or sex with yourself, done from a place of self-acceptance, all of these become beautiful ways to channel, enjoy, and express your sexuality. There is no shame here.

It cannot be separated without results less than satisfactory as far as your quality of life and self-esteem are concerned.
