###  This is my entry for #dailypetphotography hosted by the compassionate @kona.   My two cats have now gained quite a bit of weight and I don’t see them climb trees so much any more.

So, one evening I put my cats on the trees as I would like them to be more active.  Joan seemed to enjoy the view; he sat up the tree without wanting to climb down.  But Kwan, the younger sister, jumped down the tree twice.  I wondered why she did not climb higher up the tree.

I had to take my cats for a short walk and run in the evening in the banana grove.  They have been sleeping all day for several days; they slept, woke up, ate their meal and went back to sleep!  This behavior started to worry me!  Luckily, they still enjoyed the evening walk and explored the fields for twenty minutes.   These cats are very much like dogs in a way.  But, I am afraid they are growing more independent of each other.  Sometimes Joan chased Kwan away from the sleeping table.  I had to comfort the dejected expression on the face!  I did not know cats could express emotion of faces like that!  I had to try to put Kwan back on the table while keeping a little distance.  Luckily, Joan was saving my face and allowed Kwan to sleep beside him.

Last week I was looking at my previous favourite cat’s photo, Snow.  I was wishing him all the best for his next life  and telling him that I still missed him a lot.  A few days ago, my gardener told me that a white cat looking just like Snow was sleeping on the upstairs porch.  Well, that’s synchronicity, I was thinking about Snow and how I wanted to have another white cat.   The other night, I was watering plants under the crescent moon and starry sky; I saw a small white cat walked through my garden.  He was startled when he saw me and started to run but I talked to him.  He looked at me but continued walking towards the kitchen where we put the cat’s food dish.   He would not stay to have a chat with me.  He walked slowly into the darkness of my garden.  I hope he would become more friendly on the future.

I did wonder where my two cats were during this episode.  I found them both hiding in front of my door.  Joan had his tail all bushy and was crouching on a narrow space.  Kwan was sitting on the window ledge.  They were afraid of a younger and smaller cat; that white cat looked about six months old.   Perhaps the new cat will keep coming back for the food and all three cats would become friends!?

แมวสองตัวของเราเริ่มตัวหนักขึ้นมาก และตัวใหญ่ขึ้นด้วย  พวกมันไม่ค่อยยอมปีนต้นไม้ให้ดูเหมือนเมื่อก่อน  เราก็เป็นห่วงว่ามันจะกลายเป็นแมวอ้วนไม่แข็งแรง  ตอนเย็นเราก็จับแมวไปแปะไว้บนต้นไม้  เจ้าจอมชอบมากและมันอยู่บนต้นไม้นาน  แต่เจ้าขวัญกระโดดลงจากต้นไม้สองครั้ง เราต้องบอกให้อยู่ให้ถ่ายรูปก่อน มันจึงยอมหยุดสองนาที  แล้วกระโดดลงมาอีก  เราก็ต้องพาแมวไปเดินออกกำลังกายในสวนกล้วยตอนเย็น เพื่อให้มันเดินและวิ่งเล่นบ้าง  หน้าหนาวนี้พวกแมวกินแล้วนอน ไม่ค่อยออกกำลังวิ่งเล่นนัก

สัปดาห์ก่อนเราดูรูปของแมวโปรดที่ตายไปแล้ว เราส่งความคิดถึงและอธิษฐานจิตไปให้มันมีขีวิตที่ดี  พอเรามาถึงบ้านสวน คนสวนบอกว่ามีแมวสีขาวมานอนอยู่บนเฉลียงข้างบน  เราก็คิดว่าอะไรจะบังเอิญอย่างนี้ เราอยากได้แมวสีขาวอีกหนึ่งตัว  วันต่อมาเรากำลังรดน้ำต้นไม้ภายใต้แสงจันทร์และดวงดาว  เราเห็นลูกแมวอายุประมาณหกเดือนเดินผ่านสนามหญ้า เราก็เรียกมัน มัรทำท่าตกใจจะวิ่งหนี เราก็บอกว่าไม่ต้องกลัว คุยกันก่อน  มันก็เดินช้าลงแต่ไม่ยอมหยุด  เราเห็นมันเดินเจ้าไปในห้องครัวตรงที่มีชามอาหารแมว  แล้วมันก็เดินไปหลังบ้าน หายไปในความมืดของสวนหลังบ้าน  เราหวังว่าแมวตัวนี้จะมาอยู่ที่บ้าน และเป็นเพื่อนเล่นกับแมวของเราด้วย

เราตามหาแมวสองตัวว่าหายไปไหน ทำไมไม่ออกมาดูแมวที่ผ่านเข้ามา. เราเจอแมวของเราหาที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่บนบ้าน  แมวอ้วนสองตัวกลัวลูกแมวตัวเล็กกว่าจนต้องหลบบนบ้าน  หางพองด้วยความตื่นตระหนกทั้งสองตัวเลย แย่เลย แมวของเราไม่ก้าวร้าวและไม่ดุร้ายเลย  มันไม่เคยรู้ว่าโลกแห่งความเป็นจริงมันโหดร้ายเพียงใด เราก็หวังว่าแมวตัวใหม่จะสามารถเข้ากับแมวของเราได้
