The Sumatran elephant is a mammal with the largest body size in the archipelago. Characteristic of physical elephant is stem and ivory.
Together with the Mahout (Elephant Charmer) we patrol the wild elephants to protect the community farms in the interior of North Aceh.

Being a mahout is also not a light duty. The risk of handling elephants if rampaging, until the arrival of wild elephants to the settlements and fields of citizens is always threatened. On the other hand, the mahout must break the elephant like a member of his own family. Mahout should also be shot elephants that exist in the world of liars with affection.

Gajah Sumatera merupakan mamalia dengan ukuran tubuh terbesar di Nusantara. Ciri khas fisik gajah adalah belalai dan gadingnya.

Bersama Mahout ( Pawang gajah) kami Sedang berpatroli untuk melakukan penghalauan gajah liar untuk melindungi lahan pertanian masyarakat di pedalaman Aceh Utara.

Menjadi seorang mahout juga bukanlah tugas yang ringan. Risiko gajah asuhannya yang mengamuk, hingga datangnya gajah liar ke permukiman dan ladang warga selalu mengancam. Di sisi lain, mahout harus memperlakukan sang gajah layaknya anggota keluarganya sendiri. Mahout pun harus memperlakukan gajah-gajah yang ada di alam liar dengan kasih sayang.
