Wow! This does look totally awesome.

But I hate to burst your bubble...you're not going to be flying around your neighbourhood like Marty McFly on one of these anytime soon.

This (the video, above) was a controlled environment, and the guy had to very carefully place the board over a certain surface - which is not what your streets and pavements are made of.

I too dream of the day when we'll be riding around on hover boards, but I think we're about as close to that as we are inventing the Flux Capacitor which makes the DeLorean time-travel too!

Awesome hunt though - it'll make us all dream a little :)

BTW, I'm totally not trashing the tech - this is amazing. Maglev tech is so cool, and I really hope it develops further - it has some amazing applications. As I hope you (and others) can tell, my comment is tongue-in-cheek, not a put-down to this awesome tech :)
