# Características resaltantes

_Saulo_ su nombre Judío
_Pablo_ su nombre Griego

* Era un ciudadano romano por haber nacido en Tarso de Cilicia
* Fue educado en Jerusalén por un Rabino llamado Gamaliel, el cual tenia una reputación casi intachable
* Recibió educación sobre Torak, Misná y Midrash libro de los judíos
* Tenia credenciales muy altas sobre el judaísmo y la Ley
* Era miembro de la secta mas conservadora en su tiempo que era  de los Fariseos

# Conversión

sin embargo las escrituras nos dice que Cuando Saulo se dirigía a buscar a los cristianos para encarcelarle tuvo un encuentro con el Señor, una voz en su propio idioma le hablo:
>"Y sucedió que mientras viajaba, al acercarse a Damasco, de repente resplandeció en su derredor una luz del cielo; 4 y al caer a tierra, oyó una voz que le decía: Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué me persigues? 5 Y él dijo: ¿Quién eres, Señor? Y Él respondió: Yo soy Jesús a quien tú persigues; 6 levántate[a], entra en la ciudad, y se te dirá lo que debes hacer. 7 Los hombres que iban con él se detuvieron atónitos[b], oyendo la voz[c], pero sin ver a nadie. 8 Saulo se levantó del suelo, y aunque sus ojos estaban abiertos, no veía nada; y llevándolo por la mano, lo trajeron a Damasco. 9 Y estuvo tres días sin ver, y no comió ni bebió."

And He answered: I am Jesus whom you are persecuting; 6 get up [a], enter the city, and you will be told what to do. c], but without seeing anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, and although his eyes were open, he saw nothing; and taking him by the hand, they brought him to Damascus. Three days without seeing, and he did not eat or drink. "
