The Flying Bandits - Adventure begins - Kodachadri hills

<p>Hellooo &nbsp;<strong>Steeemitians!</strong> &nbsp;</p>
<p>Today is a special day for Team Flying Bandits, we have now completed 4 years! and the team keeps growing, we keep learning more about traveling, motorcycles, people and places. The thing about travelling is we gain knowledge which we don't get in our day to day life nor at school/ colleges and books :)</p>
<p>Life is short, get out there and explore!!! :)</p>
<p>Here's the second ride we planned back in 2013 (what ever i could remember of it ;) ), completely unknown about the place we where about to visit.&nbsp;</p>

<p>About 166 km from Mangaluru, the place called Kodachadri Hills has an amazing view. Not knowing about the epic challenge (you will know why, later on) we where about to face with zero motorcycling skills, we set out on this journey.</p>

<p>We reached the foot of the hill, and were enquiring about the road that leads to the top.</p>

<p>The locals told us the roads were bit difficult to climb and the people who come to view usually take jeep to get to the top. They also told a group of bikers came down few minutes before us. One among them was The Vespa Ryder (unknown at that point of time, Came across him many years later) and yes he was riding a Vespa!&nbsp;</p>
<p>We were expecting a bit of offroading and we did get it. It was a 7 km journey towards the hill top.</p>

<p>And after seeing this, I cannot describe how tired we where just after 1 km up hill. The roads were steep and scary. The path was covered with sharp stones and not to mention the fine dust which made griping the surface worse!</p>

<p>We took more than 2 hours just to cover 7km! and just look at our shoes! :D</p>
<p>Was it all worth the effort? Hell yeah!!! :D</p>

<p>After having some refreshment, we set out to climb rest of the hill on foot (was accessible only by foot).</p>

<p>Climbing was the easiest part, descend from the hill on the other hand is much more challenging, as you have to control the motorcycle with breaks and engine braking, too much of break and we would have ended up crashing and non stop slide down the hill. This was an hands on experience we could ever get and we learnt more about our motorcycle than we ever could.</p>
