Fight the Darkness, Bring on the Light!
Yes, I've mentioned this already, but this winter has been _dark..._  I'm having trouble with it, it's driving me a little nuts.

Fortunately, when Christmas comes around we decorate with lights!  We don't get much winter here, but I have some photos from last Christmas Eve with some lights and some snow.  Christmas lights look much better with snow!

Look at the little blizzard we had for a couple of hours! It was awesome to get out and walk a little in the snow.  No Christmas lights in this scene, so we went out for a walk around the block, and took a few photos.

I really should have gone back to this spot to photograph the puddle when this little snowman melted.

Finally, here's a little gif I made the other day, showing lights projected onto a tree trunk... just up the street from my house.  I hope you enjoy the Christmas lights, I hope to get out again soon for more photos.

How do you deal with the darkness of winter?  Is it a problem for you like it is for me?

I love that first picture.  That tree is so elegant all frosty. 

I deal by keeping myself busy getting ready for a winter solstice party.  Once the solstice passes I remind myself that the days are only getting longer from there.  Mind you, I'm not in a northern area.  I don't know how people farther up deal with that, poor souls :)

There was a lady living in Alaska that I used to follow on here, but she has dropped off.  I wonder how she is doing up there now.  

Cherry trees are apparently pretty in every season :)
