I'm convinced that every season has its great sides. And I also love to live in a country with four seasons, even if I have my favorite season...

In this post, I will make some comparisons and I will also try to highlight what is so special about hiking during winter. Today we had a temperature of -3 °C and partly sunny. A nice winter day, except there, is no snow.
## Comparison summer/winter
I will now try to show the main differences between summer and winter at almost the same spots.
The interesting thing is that the photos are taken almost the same time on the day around 11 AM to 3 PM. In winter Sun never goes up hight in the sky, the shadows look like that pictures are taken in the evening... It's really cool to see the huge difference in light.
**Little houses beyond the field**
Here is one of the houses in detail, I think it's rather nice:
I hiked on this trail for the first time five months ago and I loved it. That is why we came back today. The best thing is that it contains some climbing (light) and it goes through both forest and seascape.

The photos aren't taken on the exact same spot but rather close.
After 6 km hiking in the forest, we came down to the Baltic Sea. Many of you might know I love the sea. It made me so happy to see and hear the water! We took a break near the sea and had some lunch.

## Wonderful things about winter hiking
There is no insects, no snakes or tics. I love that about winter.
The sun is standing low in the sky all day, which gives a sense of evening light all day. And the colors in the forest, mostly brown shades, combined with ice gives a very special scale of colors. Look at the photos below and see for yourself.
I'm happy that we did this trip today. Nice weather, nice views. 14 km is well needed after the Holiday parties.

Summer!
Even if there are insects, snakes and tics in summer, everything is still nicer. It's warmer, greener and more beautiful. Today's trip was awesome but well, I was freezing a lot afterward.

Yes, we might go there in springtime as well! Really nice trip. I love these houses but it lies a bit of. Super nice place for calming down and chilling I guess but not forever... Thanks my friend!
