A Message to Myself

# To remind myself of the vision when things go south #

 Surrounding myself with good people have been vital to my change in mindset. I anticipate staying in the mindset I am in to approach my goals. I want to thank my family and friends for pushing me towards a brighter direction of my life. It's great to learn from those who are more experienced than I am. Everyone can be a mentor to me, and I am open to new ideas.

# On the mindset to learn coding and become a developer #

With friends and family,  I usually express my interest in developing for the blockchain. My friend, Justin (who makes 6 figures, baller!), shared with me these points. 

1. Learn the basic fundamentals first.
2. Front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) paves the way for back-end development and coding in other languages. Front-end development has lower barriers to entry in the saturated CS market in California.
3. Following a roadmap and working well with teams are important. Pressure is good.
4. Once we learn front-end development, we can choose to branch off to other more complex fields
5. With time, dedication, and practice . . . any skill can be improved upon.

In the beginning, I tried to learn coding my myself, specifically python. The idea seemed simple but I could not find the approach in order to learn coding the right way. I was scrambling through youtubes with little to no desire of progressing. The information seemed so bland, and I had no vision of what I needed to do. I hope the advice above can help others like me on this journey. I try to share information that is useful because there is so much useful information out there. As of now, I would like to contribute back, but I know the information I have now is subprime. 

In due time, I will provide expert information for you guys ;)

yesssss, i know i spend a lot of time on steem so it may not seem like i have friends, lol.

i need to be better at convincing them to use this.

As for life, i know what i must do to make those around me happy. When i see them happy, it makes me happy.
