“This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honoured," says the Lord.” – Haggai 1:7-8, NIV.
Every believer must factor kingdom building into his agenda. We are stewards of the resources we have. Delight in helping to build your church sanctuary or other kingdom projects. In Haggai 1, God sent the prophet Haggai to tell his people that it was time to build His House. Anytime we ignore the things of God, our welfare is affected.
Haggai 1:6 and 9 says, “Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Ye looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.”
A kingdom builder never lacks anything because the more you give the more your resources are multiplied. A kingdom builder touches the heart of God. Protocols are suspended for such a person. A servant of a centurion was sick and the centurion sent some elders to plead with Jesus to come and heal his servant.
“They came to Jesus and begged him earnestly, "This man really deserves your help. He loves our people and he himself built a synagogue for us." (Luke 7:4-5, GNT). When Jesus heard the testimony He went with them immediately. A kingdom builder receives immediate attention when the need arises. Building God’s kingdom is entering into a covenant with God. Don’t wait until you are called to give before you do. If you desire to give towards God’s kingdom, God will provide you with the resources.
