Bitcoin Block Halving is one of the biggest events on the chain that happends every few years. It means cutting block rewards by half which makes Bitcoin a deflanatiory currency.

In 2012, the amount of new bitcoins issued every 10 minutes dropped from 50 bitcoins to 25. In 2016, it dropped from 25 to 12.5. Now, in the 2020 halving, it will drop from 12.5 to 6.25.

Now we have less than 10 000 blocks to come. ETA is 66 days but this is +/- as we never know how long getting blocks take. But we can assume 65-75 days is max.

Normally some time after this event of before - the price of BTC was going up, and then of altcoins too.
